We have many Municipalities as customers, partly because of the importance we attach to diversity and scientific research and of course because of the quality of our instruments.
Diagnosis of job seekers
Municipalities use our instruments to map out the possibilities of benefit recipients and job seekers.
A good diagnosis at the start ensures that the right service can be offered.
- Is support needed or is there a good chance that someone will find work again independently within six months?
- There are often several support programs possible, but which program suits this person best?
- What impeding factors are there and can we do something about them?
- Which accompaniment style suits best?
To this end, we have various instruments that, for example, determine the distance to the labour market , provide a picture of self-reliance, measure job-seeking behaviour and motivation , identify strong and less strong competencies , but also map out achievable education level, personal characteristics and interests. See for this: On the road!
Language
Partly due to the increasing diversity of the municipal population, it is important that the instruments measure objectively and fairly for all groups and that the language use is as simple as possible. To this end, we do a lot of research into possible partiality and adjust our instruments to make the applicability as large as possible.
And all our instruments can be used at an A2/B1 Dutch language level.
But we also offer instruments in the following languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, Farsi, Tigrinya, Chinese, Ukrainian and Russian.
Integration
In addition to the deployment with the regular population, our instruments are also used in the context of the integration of status holders. We have an extensive set of instruments that determine, for example, the Dutch level of education based on the education in the country of origin, the work experience is mapped out, the language level is determined (including the English language level), capacities and competencies are measured, but possible psychological problems and traumatization are also examined. Exactly which aspects are measured is determined by the Municipality itself and can differ per candidate.
Furthermore, our instruments are also used in (re)training programmes, for example for early school leavers or at labour development companies (formerly sheltered employment - SW).
Management reports
Management information is important in order to be able to evaluate and better shape municipal policy. NOA produces management reports that give a picture of the total population with regard to the above aspects, such as mediation, composition of the population in terms of age and problems, language level, level of education, etc. etc.
We are working with many municipalities to further improve the instruments. To this end, we provide data to the municipalities and conduct research into the content of the instruments and their predictive value. In this way, we can give better and better advice and increase the effectiveness of the mediation.
