Use of materials
The Material Use competency indicates how you use materials, tools and other aids in the execution of your work. An example of a question for this competence is: "I think in advance about what materials and resources I need".
Development tips
- Think in advance about the goal you want to achieve and base the choice of materials and tools you will use on that.
- Orient yourself on the advantages and disadvantages of different materials or tools.
- Discuss with your fellow students whether they have experiences with certain materials and ask for tips.
- Immerse yourself in different editing techniques, for example by reading books and reading brochures.
- Ask for feedback from teachers or fellow students if you are using the tools correctly.
- Make sure that tools are well maintained and stored after use.
- Read the safety instructions in advance and stick to them.
