Steering for results

The competency Steering for results indicates whether you give direction and direction to fellow students or a project group to achieve objectives. An example of a question for this competence is: "I express clear expectations about the result to be achieved".

Development tips

• Take on the role of chair in the study group so that you can give direction to how you approach an assignment and the results you need to achieve.
• If you are conducting a study group meeting, be clear about each person's responsibilities.
• Discuss with your study group what you expect from each other and make sure that everyone meets these expectations.
• Clearly indicate how the study group can keep each other informed and make sure that everyone does this.
• Make sure that your fellow students give each other feedback on the results achieved within the assignment.
• Reward good results by giving compliments to your peers.
• In the event of disappointing performance, talk to the people involved.
• Give direction and take a stand if fellow students are unsure about a chosen approach.
