Inventiveness

The Inventiveness competency says something about the ability to be original and to come up with new solutions. An example of a question that belongs to this competence is: "My ideas are original".

Development tips:

• Be open to new ideas and think about new ways to approach a study assignment.
• Think of several alternatives for choices that have to be made in a study assignment.
• Don't follow the easiest method, but think about alternative ways to approach a study assignment.
• Discuss your ideas with fellow students or teachers.
• Meet up with fellow students for a brainstorming session about a study assignment.
• Think about ideas from your fellow students. Ask questions about this to these fellow students and learn from them.
• Read about and discuss developments in the field of your study.
• Take a break every now and then while doing a study assignment, so that you can look at the assignment again with a fresh look after the break.
