Flexibility

The Flexibility competency says something about the ability to open up to new information and adapt to new situations. An example question that belongs to this competency is: "I adapt my way of approaching to the person and situation".

Development tips

  • Be open to new challenges and tasks, even if it means doing something extra for a study assignment.
  • Adapt your approach or execution of the assignment to the expectations of the lecturer or your fellow students.
  • If you can't do the study assignment in the normal way, try another way.
  • Be open to arguments or ideas from fellow students.
  • Be willing to let go of your own ideas when fellow students have good ideas.
  • See if you can use new ideas from fellow students in your own study assignment.
  • If something doesn't go the way you want, try to adjust your way of working.
  • Ask fellow students to indicate when they think you are not flexible. Ask for feedback and tips.
