Customer focus
The Customer Orientation competency indicates the extent to which you investigate the wishes and needs of the customer and act accordingly. An example question of this competence is "I actively check whether the wishes and needs of the customer/client have been met".
Development tips
- In addition to your studies, find a part-time job where you come into contact with customers.
- Assess your customers and ask them about their needs and wants.
- Don't keep a customer waiting unnecessarily.
- Be clear about what you can do for the customer.
- Take the customer's wishes into account when making your proposals.
- Stick to the agreements made with the customer.
- Communicate to your customer what the state of affairs is.
- Actively inquire whether the customer's wishes and needs have been met.
- Work with others to think about how to improve customer service.
