The Talent Scan has been developed for use in the context of employee development and has the following goals:
- Stimulating self-reflection of the employee. The results of the Talent Scan help to think about performance and career
- Stimulating the personal development of the employee
- Gaining insight into collaborative behaviour
The Talent Scan consists of a competency test and a personality test, the results of which are linked. The underlying vision is that the development and mastery of competencies is partly driven by more or less stable personality traits. Unlike many other methods, competencies and personality traits are measured separately in the Talent Scan. This makes it possible to make a statement about both the current level of proficiency and the possible developmental potential of competencies based on the underlying personality of a candidate.
In addition to a statement about a candidate's strong and less strong competencies, the Talent Scan also analyzes a candidate's style of collaboration. A number of important roles within teams are used for this. The results indicate which team role(s) a candidate prefers. The results also offer the opportunity to analyze the composition of teams.
