Taking online tests
I want to become a customer of NOA
To become a NOA customer, it is best to contact the NOA Helpdesk by calling (020-5040800) or sending an e-mail. The Helpdesk can advise you on which test(s) you can best use to achieve your goals. The Helpdesk can also tell you more about the costs of the test(s) and the use of NOA Online.
How does NOA handle personal data?
We store personal data, together with the test results. These are combined so that a report of a candidate's test results can be made. NOA also asks for personal data so that NOA can conduct research. This allows us to investigate whether the tests are fair and comparable for people of different ages, education levels and cultural background. We also investigate, for example, which personal characteristics predict success in work or study. Click here for more information about our Privacy Policy.
I can't log in as a candidate
Check that you are on the right website to log in. This should be: https://noatalentportal.nl. If you no longer see your password, you can reset your password and set a new password yourself via the 'Forgot your password?' button. Please note: you can only reset your password yourself if your username is your email address. If your username is not your email address, you can contact the person who asked you to take the test(s).
Note: passwords are case sensitive!
Where can I find the candidate's login details?
The candidate's username can be found in the candidate overview and on the candidate's detail page. The username can be the candidate's email address, but it is also possible that the candidate has a username that is not an email address.
When you create a candidate with an email address as your username and you choose to email the login details directly to a candidate, you have no insight into the candidate's password. The password management is then entirely in the hands of the candidate himself. The candidate can reset and/or adjust his passwords himself if desired.
If you want to provide a candidate's login details to a candidate manually, for example because the candidate is taking the test(s) on location, you will only have the option to see, edit and download the password (together with the username) during the creation of the candidate. After the candidate has been created, you no longer have the possibility to retrieve the password. It is possible to change the candidate's password via the candidate's detail page.
You will not be able to view or change the login details after they have been sent.
How do I change a candidate's password?
For a candidate who has been created with an email address as a username this is not possible, you cannot change the password of the candidate. The candidate can change the password himself after logging in to the candidate environment, via the profile page, or the candidate can set a new password by using 'Forgot password?'.
For candidates who have been created with a username that is not an email address, you can change the password via the candidate's details page. In this case, the candidate can also change their own password via the profile page after logging in to the candidate environment. In this situation, the candidate cannot use the 'Forgot password?' button.
Can you continue filling in the test if you have stopped in between?
Yes, if the browser is clicked away or the internet connection is lost in between, the answers that have been given previously will be saved. If you are inactive for a long time, you will automatically be logged out with the message that your session has expired. If you log in again, you can pick up where you left off.
Tip: If you want to take a break, always do so between parts.
A candidate has already started the test by mistake. Can you reset it?
It is not possible to reset tests and thus delete information from the candidates. If candidates have started anyway and this is really not the intention, you can offer the test again by adding an extra test task with the same test for those candidates.
I have taken a test at NOA and have a question about the test, the test results or the next steps
If you have taken a test at NOA and have a question about the test, the test results or what happens to your test results, please contact the organization that asked you to take the test. For security and privacy reasons, NOA cannot provide you with information about the test results because NOA cannot verify your identity.
Managing candidates
I can't find a candidate
Go to the candidate overview via the 'Candidates' menu button.
Sometimes candidates are difficult to find because you no longer know in which process they were created. You can also view the candidate overview at the organization level, make sure that the dark blue bar at the top left shows the name of your organization and then go to the candidate overview via the menu button "Candidates". In the candidate overview, you can easily search by first or last name, for example, via the filters on the columns. It is also possible that candidates are 'hidden'. Hidden candidates can be made visible via the dark blue filter button to the right of the dark blue bar at the top left.
How do I download a report? I don't see this option in the candidate list
If you don't have an option to download reports in the candidate overview, you are focusing on the organizational or process level, instead of on the process level. Downloading candidate reports is only possible if you are at the process level. You can navigate to a process via the dark blue bar at the top left. Also take a good look at the menu buttons. If a 'Processes' menu button is visible, you are at the organization or process set level. If this menu button is not there, then you are at the process level, which is the right level to run reports.
Can I prepare a new test for a candidate?
Yes, you can always do that. Look up the candidate in the candidate overview and click on the candidate, you will now be taken to the candidate's detail page. Make sure to check out the candidate's details page at the process level. At the bottom of the candidate's detail page at process level is a task overview. These are the tasks specific to this candidate. Via the + symbol on the right side of the screen you can create a new task for the candidate. Choose "Create test" as the task type and choose the appropriate test. You can indicate whether you want the task to be mandatory or not, whether the candidate can start the task immediately or at a time in the future and you can set a deadline and a reminder if necessary. After saving, the new task is available to the candidate.
Can I sort, search or filter the list of candidates?
Yes, you can sort the overview based on the columns. This can be useful, for example, if you want to know how many candidates are ready. To sort, hover your mouse over the column name (for example: username, last name, start date, date rounded, etc) and click on the small symbol with three horizontal lines that will then become visible. You can also search and filter in the candidate overview. To do this, click on the small filter symbol next to a column name.
How do I change the norm group?
First orient yourself on the choice of the right norm group. See also 'Which norm group should I choose' in this FAQ.
In the candidate overview at process level, look up the candidate for whom you want to change the norm group, you will now be taken to the candidate's detail page. On the candidate's detail page at process level, there is a task overview at the bottom. Click on the dark blue symbol on the right side of the screen for the test task for which you want to change the norm group and choose 'Change', then you can change the norm group in the side screen that is now open. After saving, you can print the candidate's report again, the newly set norm group will now be used.
Good to know: Reprinting a report with a different norm group is free of charge.
Which norm group should I choose?
It differs from test to test which standards are available. The most appropriate norm group is determined by the question that the test results must answer. Sometimes a certain standard is not relevant for a test. For example, a separate norm group for candidates with a migration background is not relevant if the norming study did not find any differences between candidates with and without a migration background.
Tip: To choose the right norm group, contact your account manager or the helpdesk (020-5040800).
How do I remove candidates?
It is not possible to remove candidates. This is so that important information from candidates can never be lost. It is possible to make candidates inactive. Inactive means that the candidate no longer has access to the candidate environment. To make a candidate inactive, go to the candidate overview at the organization level. Here you can put a check mark in front of one or more candidates and then choose 'Make inactive' in the menu that opens when you click on the dark blue square with the three white dots at the top right. It is also possible to make a candidate inactive via the details page of a candidate at the organization level. Click on the candidate in the candidate overview at organization level and then click on the pen symbol next to the general details of the candidate. Uncheck the box next to 'Active' to make the candidate inactive. Inactive candidates will remain visible in the candidate overview. You can filter by "Active" and "Inactive" in the "Active" column to show only active or inactive candidates. However, it is also possible to hide candidates in the candidate overview. Select the candidate or candidates you want to hide and then click on 'Hide' in the menu that you will see when you click on the dark blue square with the three white dots. It is also possible to make hidden candidates visible again. Via the dark blue filter symbol to the right of the dark blue bar at the top left, you can indicate that hidden candidates should also be shown.
I only want to administer a few subtests of the Capacity Test (MCT).
By default, all subtests of the MCT are administered. If you want to deviate from this, go to the creation of the candidate to the candidate's detail page. In the candidate's task overview, click on the dark blue square behind the test task that contains the MCT, and choose 'Edit'. In the side screen that now opens, you can turn subtests on and off. After saving, only the selected subtests will be administered to the candidate.
How do I select competencies?
If you want to select specific competencies, first create a candidate and select the Competency Test (CT), or a composite test scan that includes the Competency Test. Then go to the candidate's detail page. In the candidate's task overview, click on the dark blue square behind the test task that contains the Competency Test, and choose 'Change'. In the side screen that now opens, you can check and uncheck competencies. After saving, only the selected competencies will be taken from the candidate.
I accidentally created too many logins. Will this be invoiced?
No, you won't be charged for this. Billing is only done when a test is started or when a report is printed. For logins that are not used, nothing is invoiced.
A candidate has taken a test, but they are unable to download a report
Downloading a report can sometimes take a little longer. You will be made aware of this in Talent Portal. Once you have clicked on the download button, you can close the side screen and continue working in the Talent Portal admin environment. The report will automatically appear in your browser's downloads folder when it is downloaded.
Note: do not close your browser while a report is being downloaded. If you close the browser, the report will no longer be downloaded.
If there is a consent task in the process, you can only download a candidate report if the candidate has given permission for the results to be shared. In the candidate overview at process level, you can see the consent status in the 'Consent' column.

How do I log in as an administrator?
Check that you are on the right website to log in. As an administrator, you log in to: https://admin.noatalentportal.nl/. Make sure you always re-enter this link when you log in. You can also save this link to your favorites. Then check carefully that this link is actually saved in your favorites, and not a link that starts with 'https://noab2c...'. Note: passwords are case sensitive!
Why is it that after logging in as an administrator I do not enter the management environment (I keep seeing three spinning balls)?
This is caused by the incorrect link not being used to log in. Enter https://admin.noatalentportal.nl/ in the address bar and try again. If you have saved the link to your favorites, make sure that this link (https://admin.noatalentportal.nl/) is actually saved in your favorites, and not a link that starts with 'https://noab2c...'.
How do I change my password as an administrator?

In the side screen, you enter the details of the new administrator. Select a role and any additional rights, and always check carefully which processes this new administrator should have access to. Only an admin can create new administrators.
How do I change a colleague's details?
If you are an admin and a colleague asks you to change your data (e.g. email address) or change the processes to which the colleague has access, click on the colleague in question in the administrator overview. On the administrator's details page, you can change data and control access to processes.
I have a new phone, how do I reset the 2-factor authentication app?
If you are logged in to NOA Talent Portal, click on the round symbol with the figure in it in the top right corner. Then click on 'Profile' in the menu.
