The new NOA portal: everything on the phone!
The new NOA Talent Portal has been online since the beginning of this year. A platform where you can find everything you need to test and guide candidates. And also a place with many functionalities, both for customers and candidates.
mboRijnland is a user from the very beginning and enthusiastic. "The great added value of the Talent Portal is that it also runs on the mobile phone!" says Kristel Melisie, advisor at the Education Service Center. "This is more in line with our target group."
mboRijnland had been working with NOA's Startmeter for a number of years. "It is a great tool because it can provide a clear insight into the strengths and points of attention of our applicants in a short time. We therefore think it is important that the response is as large as possible. But that didn't always work with the Start Meter because it couldn't be filled in on the mobile phone. This is annoying for our applicants because they do everything on their phones. This also applies to filling in a questionnaire, for which they prefer to grab their mobile phone rather than sit behind a computer. That is why we are very happy that the NOA Talent Portal also works on the phone," says Melisie. "For us, that is really the great added value of the Talent Portal and also the main reason why we switched."
The new Portal not only makes tests and test results accessible, but also adds new functionalities. For example, customers can now post videos on the platform themselves. mboRijnland has already made use of this by making a video explaining the Start Meter. "We have completely customized it for our applicants and try not only to give them information about the tool, but also to enthuse them to fill it in before they have an intake interview with us. This is necessary because many applicants start the test, but some do not finish it afterwards. In the video, we show them that the results of the test also have added value for themselves. For example, because the test can give them new insights if they still have doubts about the choice of programme. This way they can benefit from it themselves and we answer the age-old question 'what's in it for me'."
mboRijnland sees a second plus in the NOA Talent Portal, namely the new, compressed Startmeter. "Completing the test used to take 50 minutes and that has now become about 30 minutes. This is much more pleasant for our applicants. It is also nice that the language has been adjusted to B1 and that there is much more work with icons instead of text. That makes the test more attractive and user-friendly."
To prepare for the switch to the portal, mboRijnland was given a demo as early as September. After which the organization worked with NOA to see what was needed to make the transition as smooth as possible. And since February, mboRijnland has now really been using the Talent Portal. "There are still some small technical problems, but they are being picked up and solved by NOA. That is very pleasant because the lines are short and we are helped immediately. We cannot predict at this time how the portal will ultimately work out across MBO, but we are positive about the switch to the Talent Portal for the time being."
