Study progress and study career counseling

Once a student has started the study, a good bond with the study program and fellow students is crucial for study success. Often in the first six months there are signals that indicate that the student experiences problems. The question is how you can pick up these signals on time and thus prevent early study failure. This can be done through mentoring and the use of study career counseling, but even that makes it difficult to follow all students well.

NOA has various instruments that can be used in the context of the study career counseling. An example of this is the self-reflection assessment that is used as a follow-up to a study choice check or intake assessment.

Another instrument is the Study Progress Assessment. Where the intake assessment or the study choice check is usually used for or at the gate, the Study Progress Assessment is taken in January or February of the first year, for example in the context of a binding study advice.
