From secondary school onwards, children in the Netherlands are expected to make all kinds of choices about their education and profession later on. In many cases, a career choice test is a good way to help them find what they find interesting.

The purpose of the visual interest test is to map out someone's educational or professional interests. The visual interest test is intended for people with an age of about 14 years and an education level up to MBO level 1. The offer for this group is characterized by practice-oriented professions and training courses that often have to be carried out under supervision. Existing tests are based on professions with a level of education that is too high for this target group. The visual interest test identifies 10 work sectors:

  3. Catering and shop
  4. Green
  5. Logistics
  6. Technical Maintenance
  7. Engineering Production
  8. Food Production
  9. Construction and Infrastructure
  10. Surveillance and Safety
